I had the pleasure of working along side Nedi Gavriliu for just under one year. Out of a candidacy of over a dozen people, Nedi was the one chosen to become our head Graphics / Web Designer. During his interview periods he was able to demonstrate a sense of creativity that we felt could help us differentiate ourselves from our competition. Our artistic flare.

Through out his employment term at Conflux, Nedi was consistently exceeding our creative requirements. He showed a very strong knowledge of anything visual arts related and from the beginning acted as some what of a teacher to some of the other designers. It was not a case of Nedi projecting his skills upon the others but instead a sense of seniority and respect that the others had for him, and were requesting it. From Photoshop to Illustrator and Quark XPress, from HTML to JAVA, from 3D Studio Max to Flash, Nedi showed an unparalleled knowledge of each. From what I gathered it was his strong understanding of visual arts that allowed him to excel in the various fields of digital media.

Since working with Nedi I have had the pleasure of attending some of his shows at the Propeller Gallery in Toronto. I have also had the pleasure of being invited back to his home to view some of the works he was able to bring to Canada from Romania as well as some current projects.

I would like to finish by saying that it was a pleasure working with Nedi on both a professional and person level and that I hope that maybe one day we might be able to work together once more.
